i’ve noticed that there are many people in ethereum community who don’t understand why we do rollups instead of sharding or whatever. i tried to make a comprehensive explainer for current ethereum scaling strategy which may be helpful to some people here, and would appreciate any feedback!

Interesting article. How does danksharding compare to what nil foundation is doing? Seems like their approach yields greater scale while maintaining security of the network.

This is such a powerful article with lots of information to digest.

There are tradeoffs everywhere and i love the fact that you highlighted pros and cons all the way. A network where everyone verifies everything might not be sustainable for mass adoption. I was looking into Cartesi as an Application Specific Rollups the other day and its great. It uses a custom RISC-V-based virtual machine. It allows applications have their own virtual machine and not compete for blockspace thereby boosting computational scalability.

Solutions are ever evolving and its good to always be in the know. Thanks once again for enlightening us all.
