Hey all,

With a million Black Friday VPN deals going on, I think it’s important to shout out a top 10 (by holders) token on the network and in general a cool and misunderstood project on Polygon.

https://www.mysteriumvpn.com/bf-community-offer

I’ll keep it concise and let you DYOR but simply Mysterium has 3 main products.

  1. Mysterium VPN: Mainstream style VPN, on iOS, Google Play etc but with the advantage of using residential IPs instead of Data centre IPs. This makes your internet traffic appear as a regular home user and not a VPN, which has a multitude of use-cases. They also have 135 countries, which could be a record? (correct me I’m wrong.)

  2. Mysterium Dark: 100% Crypto powered VPN with manual server selection. Not available on iOS.

  3. Myst Nodes: Run a node on almost any device (Android, Raspberry pi, Windows etc) and earn by sharing your internet bandwidth with either;

◘ Myst Nodes B2B partners: Nodes are used for things like data scrapping and business proxies.

◘ VPN users: NOTE! This is the most misunderstood part of the project, you do not have share VPN traffic if you don’t want to, infact it’s disabled by default. Most MystNodes earnings are from business partners.

The token MYST is used to power the Mysterium Network, allowing holders to earn from the volume and success of the project. There are also staking options which pay non-inflationary, variable interest of around 10-20% APR.

Hope you found this dive into Mysterium interesting. Also worth noting, this project would not be possible without Polygon, due to our insanely low tx-fees and high tps.

LFG!

Not really, you can download it on iOS and the Play store and use card if you want.

Streaming Netflix and Disney+ works way better as mentioned in the OP than other mainstream programs.

What if I just happen to be bundled with someone who uses illegal stuff and so the FBI comes to one of the myst nodes and asks some average Joe for all the logs, what happens?

I mentioned this in the OP, by default VPN traffic is DISABLED. You’re only dealing with verified business traffic unless you mess with the settings.

If you want to take risks to earn more, you can, but you’d have to look into the liabilities in your region. Many countries have protections for this, but again DYOR.

Installing MystNodes and using B2B traffic is very safe passive income IMO.

That’s fine but my question was about if you enable VPN data, what happens in that scenerio?

What about you have VPN data disabled and use business traffic but they are doing web scraping via authorization cookies as a means to bypass rate-limiting, which technically could be considered improper access and violate federal computer laws in the US, but could be completely legal for an indian business. What protections does Myst offer?

I’m a big fan of Mysterium VPN and it’s awesome to see it running on Polygon. The residential IPs and variety of countries make it stand out. Plus, the MYST token and staking options add extra value. LFG!
