If its locked then it can’t be traded
I could be wrong but I thought the total value locked refers to the distribution not the amount locked in staking. According to solanabeach 70% of the circulating supply is locked in staking.
Shouldn’t that make the price go up? Supply in demand? Please explain

This is actually a good thing! A higher volume on a lower TVL means higher capital efficiency. A chain like Solana can do this because it hosts applications like CLOBs (central limit order books) which can support insanely high trading volumes for low TVL. This is a dream because idle capital can be used for something else. Other chains can’t support this due to high fees and slow speeds.

Even if it were a more scary situation than it is, I think as long as you never invested more than you can afford to lose… well it depends on the individual.
