Firstly, THANK YOU for using a Ledger. Remember to use different Ledger addresses for different things. eg, you could have 5. 1 for staking, 1 for Defi, 1 for degen, 1 for NFTs, and maybe some hot wallets for smaller amounts when you want fast access.

Phantom charges 0.85% on some pairs, eg SOL to USDC, so that’s the extra cost. it still routes through jup though.
So, as it’s a great wallet, and they need revenue to be more epic, maybe smaller swaps use them, and larger swaps, use jup.ag directly.

The world likes speed and innovation. I’m older, and used dial up internet at 4KBs many years ago.

Now, if a website is not basically instant, I am impatient. I am not alone, and blockchains need to be fast, cheap, and easy to use.
Like a Macbook Pro (gifted to you as they are $$) on gigabit internet.

Solana does that.

The other big thing is people are tribal. The more tribal, the more attention. Democrats vs Republicans, soccer teams vs each other etc.

I am not saying that is good, but it is reality. The good thing is attention. Kim K is worth billions due to getting attention. Attention adds value.
Solana has Solana maxis, some ETH maxis using it, smart money, and it has people tribally against it. It is not irreverent, and irrelevance kills everything (eg EOS)

On top of that FTX and SBF messed up the space like a war. 1000s of projects, in addition to individuals, had their funds in FTX.
Those dark days are behind us, and these experiences are rare and build strength.

Gm. Are you also growing your sol? Get some sol, stake with validator.com, and off you go. For USDC there is always risk. I like the returns in jup.ag in the JLP peeps program. Also in drift.trade in their insurance program. Returns are much higher but have risks.

I wouldnt even bother for 3% in margainfi or whatever. Risk, which is low, isn’t worth the reward imo

Hey. Not financial advice but go to my youtube, type in Seb Montgomery, do the beginners course and then the first video on the intermediate course is on price. Watch all the videos and it may show you how amazing the network is. TOkens don’t go straight up. They go up, down, etc. I think SOL will be over $150 within 5 months. Not financial advice in anyway. Just opinion
