- It was a calculated ‘mistake’. It’s not like a bug in the code slipped those referral ids in there.

- My BAT is on Gemini, because I was forced to transfer the balance of the vBAT from the browser and to an exchange proposed by Brave: https://community.brave.com/t/vbat-is-eliminated/468369 The exchange, Gemini, delisted BAT and seized my balance. I was given a window of opportunity to withdraw it, but the window of opportunity passed as the only warning I received was an email caught in the spam filter. No warning whatsoever from Brave where every day was business as usual. I’m not the only one affected by this, just go to: https://community.brave.com/t/brave-rewards-canada-gemini-no-longer-supports-bat/506599/2
One week, the email was sent on the 19 and my BAT was liquidated on the 27. Month of September. I realized this now as I was unable to connect to my wallet after a fresh install. Naturally I went to the discourse Brave chat and realized it was over based on previous comments. Checked my spam folder and there it was, the only warning that I received from Gemini. No mention from Brave though, not a beep. The BAT was still accumulating from ads though, I could see my actual balance and the new estimate grow despite me not having access to the wallet, but there was no indication of this (inability to access wallet) until the fresh install yesterday.
