Hi all, I’m not well versed in this, but my account on Bittrex is closing down since they filed for bankruptcy.

I want to transfer a little Ethereum to my Kraken account, where for a deposit I have to make two choices:

Network, choice of:

  • Arbitrum
  • Ethereum
  • Optimism
  • Polygon

Method:

  • Native
  • Smart Contract

I’m guessing to select Ethereum and Native, but I would like to make sure. Can’t find details when using Google.

Thanks!

smart contract does internal transactions and some exchanges don’t like that and apps.

Bittrex closed down completely months ago. Are you transferring because you got an email saying you have funds left over because that is a scam. Be careful

I get these emails, last one said I had 23 cents worth on there.

      Which is pretty accurate.

I received a similar email, the links resolve to https://global.bittrex.com, which as far as I can tell, is the correct url for Bittrex. Also, the email correctly identified how much funds I have remaining in Bittrex. I think it’s legit.

Yeah I got the email that I still had funds. It looks legit, and the main domain bittrex.com also has the info about shutting down.

I logged in successfully with my old credentials and the wallet shows an amount that resembles an amount i recall having on there (its only 0.7 ETH, but definitely not an amount i want to lose).

When i withdraw and move to an address of a wallet i have on Kraken, what could go wrong, if its a scam?

      Thanks for your input

Choose whichever method has the lowest fees AND is supported by both sides. If unsure, choose Ethereum and native, as you said.
