Hi community!

My father-in-law sent it twice to the wrong address (he missed one letter at the end of his wallet address). Is there a way to recover his crypto? Please help :( Should we contact Solana? What should we do?

Much appreciate any help.

One of the upsides to cryptocurrency on a permissionless blockchain is that no one can move funds from your wallet or stop you from moving funds from your wallet. One of the downsides is that no one can help you if you make a mistake and send tokens to the wrong address. There are many quintillions of possible addresses so the likelihood of someone actually having the private key to the one public address your father sent to are so extremely small that I can safely say those solana are lost forever.
