Hi community!

My father-in-law sent it twice to the wrong address (he missed one letter at the end of his wallet address). Is there a way to recover his crypto? Please help :( Should we contact Solana? What should we do?

Much appreciate any help.

    Solana can’t help you.

The money is lost unless it was sent to an exchange and they can return it or if you know who u sent it to and they send it back to you.

Crypto transactions cannot be reversed in the way u might be thinking of.

I’m sorry to hear this OP.

Tell ur father in law to only copy paste addresses, always check they’re 100% accurate and take into account Solana addresses are case sensitive so even a letter being capitalized will change the outcome of the transaction.

Whitelisted addresses (like labeling an address so you always know it’s correct) is helpful in situations like this
