What determines “separation” from msol to SOL? msol is more sought after because of higher APYs? therefore pricier? Kind of a noob question
I’m not hurt by it I was buying regular sol still cheaper the whole time
Because each mSOL keeps growing in SOL value because it generates staking rewards.
So if you ever go to the marinated Solana DApp , you can exchange mSOL for the accrued SOL + accrued staking rewards since creation.
msol is not wsol. msol is staked Solana. WSOL is 1:1 with SOL
I think u need to research what staking is if u really care to find the answer to this. It’s very simple but if u don’t kno what staking is it’s very complex
If u already understand staking, mSol is just Sol with the staking rewards built in. So that price difference u see will always grow. mSol is Sol +7% APY
You’re thinking about it in terms of dollars not ratio to Sol. Current ratio is around 1.13/sol but the gap in dollar terms will get bigger as the price goes up. Example if sol was worth a dollar mSol would cost 1.13 dollars if Sol was worth 100 dollars mSol would be worth 113 dollars
